Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia

Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway is a 1-mile diagonal boulevard that connects Philadelphia City Hall to several museums, public art displays, and urban parks and trails. The tree-lined parkway, was conceived in 1871 and completed in 1926 , was designed by French architects Paul Cret and Jacques Gréber to mimic the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Along this route, the public will find Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation, the Rodin Museum and Calder Gardens. On any given day, numerous people can be found walking, running and biking along the parkway and paths that loop around the Schuylkill River.
