The 110-mile Clarion River has a National Wild and Scenic River (WSR) designation for its remoteness, beauty and serenity in northwestern Pennsylvania. The Clarion River flows past steep forest hillsides and small river towns before it joins the Allegheny River in Clarion County. Plenty of public access points also makes the Clarion a popular destination for paddlers in tubes, canoes and kayaks, not to mention fishermen who cast their lures and flies for smallmouth bass and brown trout.
