Helen Furnace Cemetary, Clarion County

The Helen Furnace Cemetery is an isolated, rural, bit-spooky burial ground established in 1822. It includes weathered graves of inhabitants born in the region's frontier days. The cemetery is located on State Road 1005 about 3/4 mile south of Helen Furnace, a small community in Highland Township. Heading south from Helen Furnace there is a dirt road on the right about 1/2 mile before the intersection with State Road 1004. A small road sign hanging on a pole and on the side of a small building mark its location.
