Former Cambria Iron Company & Bethlehem Steel Corporation Smith Shop. Cambria Iron Works was founded in 1852 in Johnstown. Later known as Cambria Steel Company it was constructed with large scale blast furnaces & foundries. Because of this the site drew many innovators that were able to develop major technological advancements that greatly enhanced the steel industry.
