Opened in 1892, the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia is the oldest continuously operating farmer's market in the US. In addition to food stalls with local & a myriad of international offerings, the market sells crafts, books & other specialty items. The historic Reading Terminal's old train shed houses the market within its basement and ground floors.
