TROUT HALL, ALLENTOWN

Trout Hall, a colonial stone mansion, was originally built as a summer home & completed in 1770 by James Allen, son of the community's founder, William Allen. In the later part of the 19th century, the home was completely encased in the walls of Muhlenberg College. Trout Hall was restored in 1905 as the first home of the Lehigh County Historical Society. It is Allentown’s oldest standing home and is presently a museum.
