The former Immaculate Conception German Catholic Church was founded in 1859 and reconstructed after destruction during the famous 1889 Johnstown Flood. A rectory, constructed c. 1890, is adjacent to the church. The building ceased to function as a church and was vacant for several years as several Cambria County churches were consolidated. It was reopened in 2012 as the Grand Halle, a reception & special-event venue.
