TUNKHANNOCK CREEK VIADUCT

The Tunkhannock Creek Viaduct, also known as the Nicholson Bridge, is a 2,375-foot-long & 240 foot high concrete railroad bridge that spans Tunkhannock Creek. Construction on the bridge began in 1912 and it opened in 1915. The bridge is now owned by the Canadian Pacific Railroad. The viaduct is the world’s largest steel reinforced concrete bridge and was listed as a National Historic Site in 1977.
