Originally a private garden collection created by two brothers (Minshall & Jacob Painter) in the mid-1800's, the Tyler Arboretum in now a non-profit public garden in Media, suburban Philadelphia. Spanning 650 acres, it is one of the oldest in the northeast. Contained within are: heritage & champion trees, heritage flowers, vegetables, historic buildings and 17 miles of trails.
