The Match Factory in Bellefonte was the Pennsylvania Match Company, locally known as the Match Factory. It was built in 1899, was one of the nation’s leading producers of wooden matches until 1947. The building was bought and restored by the American Philatelic Society in 2002, but still maintains an industrial look. It is located on Spring Creek and encompasses 6+ acres; the building itself is 31,000 square feet.
