Gannondale in Erie, a private school operated by the non-profit Sisters of Our Lady of Charity, closed in 2014. It was established in 1934 to meet the needs of adolescent girls suffering with emotional, behavioral and/or family issues. A full residential facility, it served to house young females unable to reside in the community at large.
