The famed Hollywood Warner Brothers commissioned the building of the Warner Theatre in 1929. Built in Art Deco/French Renaissance style, the theatre opened in April 1931 with a seating capacity of 2,250. Today the theatre is owned by the Erie County Convention Center Authority and is home to the Erie Philharmonic & the Lake Erie Ballet.
