The Northampton County Courthouse in Easton, built in 1860-1 is a mixture of Greek Revival and Victorian-Gothic styles and constructed of limestone and red brick. The main portico features six Corinthian columns, with a tall slender tower rising above the pediment. Next to the courthouse stands a prison, also constructed of limestone and brick. The turrets and towers of the prison are Tudor in design, giving the structure the appearance of a medieval fortress. (Description is from old 2008 posting. MPM)
