The Philadelphia Museum of Art housing over 227,000 objects, is one of the largest in the US. Built in the 1920's in the style of a Greek temple the accompaning grounds span ten acres; it was officially opened on March 26, 1928. The 72 steps leading up to the entrance have become renowned by the 1976 film Rocky.
