NITTANY LION INN, PENN STATE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

The Nittany Lion Inn was built in 1931 and decorated in warm antiques with a Colonial country atmosphere, rich cherry-wood furniture and bright floral fabrics Throughout its history the Inn has hosted many notable people including: Presidents Eisenhower and Johnson, Eleanor Roosevelt, Helen Hayes and Louis Armstrong. The Inn features 223 guest rooms, a dining room, Whiskers Lounge, a fitness room, two 18-hole golf courses, swimming pool and tennis courts, museums & theatres. It is located on the Penn State University Park Campus and is within walking distance of downtown State College. The Nittany Lion Inn is listed on the registry for Historic Hotels of America.
