PennWest University was formed when the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education voted to consolidate its Clarion, California and Edinboro universites under one name in 2022.
The Clarion university campus traces its roots to its founding in 1867 as a teacher college. The campus spans 128 acres in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of western Pennsylvania.
