KATIE'S COUNTRY STORE

The building pictured is home to Katie’s Country Store & has been operational since the early 1900's. In 1919 Ezra McClintock constructed the building and sold groceries, meat, and gas. Kathleen Berardi Nelson opened the present store in April of 1978; originally it sold both groceries and gifts & became a gift shop in1980. Multiple times thereafter she added additional retail space: first the Children's Room, then the Christmas Room, the Card & Book Room, then the Loft Christmas area. In 1990, the garage was renovated and opened as an art gallery. The building was expanded in 1992 to open the clothing and jewelry boutique. Kathleen sold the shop in 2004; the current owners purchased it in 2008.
