The sleek, modern, 1,500,000 square foot David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh was completed in 2003 & is LEED Certified (US Green Building Council). It replaced an earlier center of the same name. The older structure was torn down and rebuilt as a much larger, modernist structure. David L. Lawrence was a former governor of Pennsylvania.
