Built in 1894 of brick with a slate roof, the courthouse was designed in Romanesque Revival style. The building is two stories with a four story bell tower. It can be found in Laporte, the county seat for Sullivan County. Sullivan County is very rural and part of the Endless Mountains region of northeast Pennsylvania.
