Spanning 50 acres in suburban Philadelphia's Delaware County, the Brandywine Battlefield is the site of the largest engagement of the Revolutionary War. The battle was fought on September 11, 1777 and was lead by the Continential Army's General George Washington and Britain's General William Howe.
