Founded in 1682 by William Penn, Philadelphia is Pennsylvania's largest city and it rapidly became British America's busiest port in the 1750's. Rich with Colonial history, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were both signed in Philadelphia at the end of the 18th Century.
