Trough Creek State Park encompasses 554 acres in Huntingdon County. Located along a scenic gorge, Great Through Creek flows through Terrace Mountain and empties into Raystown Lake. The park is notable for its spectacular geological beauty including: Balanced Rock, a geologic feature whose name is self-explanatory; the ice cave, a natural cave with ice formations most of the year; and Rainbow Falls, a picturesque waterfall on Great Trough Creek.
