Howard J. Lamade Stadium located in Williamsport is the stadium that hosts the Little League World Series annually at the end of August. Lamade Stadium was built in 1959 and holds 45,000 people, most of whom sit on the outfield berms. The stadium is 2/3 the size of a MLB stadium, with 60 foot base paths, a 46 foot mound, and 225 foot fences. Lights were added to the stadium in 1992 to facilitate the playing of night games as part of an expansion of the series play. The Little League Museum is located in close proximity to the stadium. The complex is comprised of 72 acres.
