The Piatt-Ogden House is a beautifully maintained, high-style example of Queen Anne architecture. Built in 1896 by prominent local lawyer James Wilson Piatt, the three story frame house features an asymmetrical shape; steeply pitched, irregular roof; wraparound porch with both a turreted and a cross-gable roof; an integral second story porch; a cantilevered tower with elaborate roof; and finials. In 1923, the house passed from Piatt's widow to their daughter Eulualie Piatt Ogden. The family sold the house in 1973.
